As part of the inaugural event of the flight connecting Asturias with Bergamo-Milan Airport, Volotea expressed its firm commitment to the Principality by announcing a historic offer for 2023. Never before has an airline served so many destinations from this airport.

Volotea will operate this year a total of 17 routes from Asturias Airport (14 domestic and 3 international destinations) and will offer record numbers of seats, 660,000, almost 50% more than last year and 147% more than in 2019. Likewise, the airline has announced the inauguration of two new routes that will connect with Granada (on Wednesdays and Saturdays) and Venice (on Mondays and Thursdays) exclusively from May this year with a frequency of two flights per week. Both routes are part of the tender announced by the Principality of Asturias. Volotea has been the only company that has chosen to operate these routes.
In addition, as of March 30, the company will add a third Airbus A319 to its base in Asturias, which ensures nearly 100 direct and indirect jobs at this base. This means almost 30 new direct jobs and more than 60 indirect jobs.
