Southwest Airlines resumed flights after a one-hour nationwide disruption.
The airline said a technical glitch caused some operational data to be “unexpectedly” lost Tuesday morning, forcing all flights to be temporarily paused.
Flight tracking site FlightAware show that 43% of Southwest flights have been delayed so far. Many of the delayed flights are expected to be canceled throughout the day.

The airline has asked people whose flights have been canceled to request a refund, Reuters reported.
Southwest has been in the spotlight since a staffing crisis due to bad weather over the Christmas holidays overwhelmed its crew scheduling software, disrupting the travel plans of two million customers.
The disruption led to the cancellation of more than 16,700 flights, costing the company more than $1 billion.
