Arajet announces new route between Santiago de los Caballeros and Medellín

Arajet announced this Monday at a press conference the upcoming opening of its route between Santiago de los Caballeros and Medellín, thus initiating a new chapter of connectivity between the Cibao region of the Dominican Republic and Colombia.

The new route will start operating on July 17 with two weekly frequencies (Mondays and Thursdays) on Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.

“This year we made a commitment at ANATO to give more Colombians the opportunity to visit the most beautiful corners of the Dominican Republic, and today we are honoring that promise,” said Victor Pacheco Mendez, CEO and founder of Arajet, accompanied by the Dominican Republic’s Minister of Tourism, David Collado, as well as the president of Cibao International Airport, Felix Estrella, and businessman Manuel Estrella.

“From the Ministry of Tourism we are committed to the tourism development of all corners of the country; that is why in ANATO we pledged to support this new Arajet route and I am sure that new routes will be added to make more Colombians visit our exceptional landscapes, beaches and enjoy our unique cuisine in the Caribbean,” said Minister Collado.

The route will be available for sale at a promotional introductory fare starting June 5.
