Iberia will add 70 charter operations to its scheduled flights this May, mainly to serve cruises, tour operator destinations, as well as incentive trips and sporting events.

Cruise passengers are regular customers of Iberia’s charter flights. In May, the airline will continue to provide assistance to MSC Cruises and will be joined by another major company in the sector: Costa Cruises. To meet their needs, Iberia will operate special flights to Venice, Athens, Hamburg and Bari.

The airline will also operate charter flights in May for tour operators to destinations that are not part of its regular program, such as Reykjavik (Iceland) and Linz (Austria), as well as a series of special flights for Sama Travel to Luxor and Cairo.

Of the 70 charter flights that the airline operates this month, 20% will be incentive trips for companies -long-haul flights from both Madrid and Barcelona- which, together with operations for sporting events, complete Iberia’s non-scheduled operations during May.
