Spain’s Iberia was the world’s most punctual airline in April 2023, according to the ranking prepared by the international consultancy Cirium -formerly FlightStats-.
In April, 87.28% of the Spanish airline’s 13,929 flights arrived on time, an improvement of six percentage points compared to March, which has placed it at the top of the punctuality ranking among Global Airlines. In this category, airlines with the highest number of Available Seat Kilometers (ASK) in the market compete, specifically, they have to be in the top 10% of airlines with the highest ASKs in the world and also operate in at least three regions.

World’s most punctual also in January
In the first month of 2023, Iberia was also the world’s most punctual airline, with 86.6% of its flights arriving on time.
This recognition adds to the one obtained the previous year when Iberia was named Europe’s most punctual airline of 2022.
