Ryanair transported 16 million passengers in April

Low-cost airline Ryanair reported Wednesday that it carried 16 million passengers in April, 13% more than in the same month of 2022.

The company noted that this is the third busiest month in its history, where it had an occupancy rate of 94%, three points higher than in April 2022.

During that period, which coincided with the Easter holidays, Ryanair recalled that it was forced to cancel more than 650 flights last month as a result of the air traffic controllers’ strike in France, affecting some 118,000 travelers.

However, it exceeded the 16 million monthly passenger figure for the third time, after carrying 16.8 and 16.9 million passengers in July and August 2022, respectively.

In the year to April, Ryanair transported 170.3 million passengers, 55% more than in the previous period.
