A year after returning to Miami International Airport with flights from Seattle, Alaska Airlines announced it will launch new nonstop service between Portland and the Sun City beginning November 17, 2023.
The new route will operate daily year-round flights on Boeing 737-900 aircraft seating 178 passengers.

“We are especially excited to launch this new coast-to-coast route from Portland, which is a key hub for us. Miami is the most underserved city from Portland and vice versa, so many passengers are eager to travel between the two cities,” said Kirsten Amrine, Alaska Airlines’ vice president of revenue management and network planning.
