Bulgaria Air has taken delivery of its first A220 aircraft, leased from Air Lease Corporation (ALC), at the Airbus facility in Mirabel, Canada.
The airline will operate the A220 on regional and international routes throughout Europe. In total Bulgaria Air will lease five A220-300s and two A220-100s from ALC.

Bulgaria Air’s A220 will have a total of 143 seats in double class, including eight seats in business class.
As of the end of May 2023, Airbus has received nearly 800 orders for the A220 from 30 customers, of which 265 have already been delivered.
