Emirates president Tim Clark said Tuesday that the airline could order more Airbus A350, Boeing 777X or 787 aircraft.

“We are looking at more A350s, more 777-9s and possibly the 787 range,” Tim Clark told reporters at the IATA annual assembly in Istanbul.

He declined to discuss how many aircraft they would be.

“All I can say is that we are looking at the possibility of buying more aircraft,” he said.

Recall that Boeing has delayed the entry into service of the 777X due to certification and engine development issues.

In 2019, Emirates reduced its order from 150 777Xs to 126 as part of a deal under which the airline ordered 30 787 Dreamliners.

Clark said he had “a little more confidence” in Boeing’s ability to bring out the new aircraft, adding that he expected to take delivery of the first aircraft in the last quarter of 2025.
