The airline GOL will operate flights from Fortaleza, in northeastern Brazil, to Bogota and Buenos Aires, as announced Monday by the Government of the State of Ceará.
The governor, Elmano de Freitas, received executives of the airline to officialize the flights, which already had an experimental flight last Saturday between Jorge Newbery airport in Buenos Aires and Fortaleza.

Flights to the capitals of Argentina and Colombia should start operating in October and ticket sales will begin in July when the days and schedules of the routes will be defined.
Ceará, on the other hand, grants a reduction in the tax applied to the fuel tariffs of airlines that open or resume international routes, whose rate will be reduced from 12% to 6%.
