Spain’s Iberia is launching several new features as of Thursday to continue improving the customer experience on board. These improvements, which are implemented in all cabins – Business, Premium Economy and Economy – include redesigned menus, improved services on long-haul flights and a new personalized digital experience.
New gastronomic experience
The airline has redesigned its gastronomic proposal for the entire network of destinations with the help of its catering supplier DO & CO, which has worked to improve the quality of the menu designs for all cabins and routes, while maintaining the essence of Spanish cuisine and products.
The new menus will be served today, June 15, on long-haul flights and from tomorrow on short and medium-haul flights.
The airline has renewed its proposal for Economy and Premium Economy class on long-haul flights, improving current services and incorporating new ones, such as a new concept between hours, the movie snack. On flights of less than 10 and a half hours departing from Madrid, a Magnum ice cream will be offered, and on return flights, a delicious cookie, for customers to enjoy while watching a movie.
And on longer flights departing from Madrid, a tapas bag service is added, which includes a selection of cold meats accompanied by picos and olives (also available in vegetarian version). On return flights, sandwiches are available to customers, and crackers and cookies are available on all flights.

Likewise, the improvements already started last year in Business Class will continue. The between-hours service has been revamped with new healthy products, such as fruit baskets, snacks and sandwiches, which can also be offered hot.
For the service offered before landing, the current proposal is improved and additional products are included for longer flights. Depending on the flight arrival time, a snack service is offered with a choice of hot or cold dishes, or a breakfast service, with hot, sweet or savory options, including the star dish most in demand by our customers, the French omelet.
New range of Gastrobar products
This summer’s novelties also include a new Gastrobar menu for the onboard shopping service, with a wide range of beverages and snacks. Some of the new products this season include snack boxes, Starbucks coffee, new Blue Teapot teas and amenity kits.
To make it easier for customers to select what they want to drink, the airline will be launching the new Gastrobar@tuasiento service in a few weeks’ time, allowing them to make their selection directly from their cell phone by accessing the wifi portal (shop.iberia.com).
Personalized digital experience
With the intention of making travel easier, more accessible and personalized, Iberia has created a Web App with direct access to certain functionalities from which customers can manage their experience from a single link.
Through this platform, customers can find out about the menu offered on board, the Gastrobar service menu, find out about the entertainment system, download the digital press or consult how to purchase wifi packages to surf the Internet once on board. They can also check the latest flight times, check their assigned boarding gate on their connecting flight, or manage their reservations in case of any incident.
In the coming months, Iberia customers will also be able to track their baggage in real time or pre-select their Business Class menu.
Sonora in in-flight entertainment
The entertainment system for long-haul flights features more than 250 Hollywood, Spanish, European and international films; more than 1,000 series, television programs and documentaries; and more than 200 audio titles including music, podcasts and audiobooks, which are updated every month.
In addition, starting this June, Sonora, the leading Spanish-language audio entertainment platform, will add a space dedicated to fiction podcasts, which stands out for its original productions and for having been the platform that premiered the most podcasts in 2022.
