Spanish airline Iberia launched this Tuesday the third edition of its Cadet Pilot Program in collaboration with the Flight Training Europe (FTE) school in Jerez.

Until July 21, those interested in training as pilots can apply at ftejerez.com/iberia, where they can also consult the requirements and conditions of this Iberia program, whose objective is to select the most qualified professionals by participating in their training and, at the same time, to promote the pilot profession by helping to finance their training.

“We are very excited about the launch of this third promotion of Iberia cadet pilots, a sign that the program is producing good results for both the candidates and the company and, above all, that we are at a time of high demand for these professionals in the airline industry,” said Rafael Jiménez-Hoyos, Iberia’s Production Director.

Iberia renews its in-flight service

Iberia Cadets is a program to also promote the profession of pilot among young people, helping them to finance their training under very advantageous conditions so that they can develop their vocation.

Once they have completed the Iberi-FTE Jerez cadet training program, Iberia’s interest is to facilitate, to the extent that the required conditions are met, the incorporation of these cadets into the labor market through Iberia Group airlines so that they can also begin to repay Iberia’s contribution to their studies.

Specifically, Iberia has already incorporated 19 pilots from the two previous editions of the program. It will now select 16 candidates who are expected to begin their training in the last quarter of 2023.

More than 100 new pilots and a new call for applications
