A LATAM Airlines Airbus A321 went off the runway upon landing Wednesday at Florianopolis Airport (Brazil) amid heavy rain.
The airline reported that the aircraft, which was operating flight LA3300 between São Paulo/Guarulhos and Florianópolis, overshot the runway limits upon landing at 09:20. All 172 passengers and 7 crew members were safely evacuated, and injuries were reported.

The incident caused the closure of Florianópolis International Airport, with cancellation of flights for the rest of the day.
