Delta to launch new service between Tokyo-Haneda and Honolulu

Delta Air Lines announced Tuesday that it will launch nonstop service between Tokyo-Haneda (Japan) and Honolulu (Hawaii) beginning Oct. 28, 2023. This is the first time the airline has offered service between the two airports after all operations from the Japanese capital were moved from Narita to Haneda in March 2020, the start of which was delayed due to the pandemic.

The route will operate daily flights on Boeing 767-300ER aircraft featuring Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin cabins.

Customers in all cabins enjoy seatback screens with hours of free premium entertainment via Delta Studio, high-speed Wi-Fi available for purchase (which will be free by the end of 2024) and free mobile messaging.

Delta is collaborating with celebrity chef Norio Ueno to create the Japanese menu served in all cabins.

“As travel demand gradually recovers in Japan, we decided to add the new Honolulu service to our Haneda network,” said Victor Osumi, Delta’s CEO and President – Japan.
