EasyJet will reopen the route linking Alicante with the London-Southend terminal in its commitment to “improve international connectivity and bring the coastal attraction of Alicante to the main airports in Europe”.
Thus, the new route will be launched on October 29 and will have two weekly frequencies, on Thursdays and Sundays, which will complement the total offer between the United Kingdom and Alicante.

The airline also recently announced that it will open a new seasonal base at Alicante-Elche airport in the spring of 2024 in what will be its fourth base in Spain, which will enable the creation of around 100 direct jobs between pilots and crew.
On the other hand, for the upcoming winter season easyJet will offer 12 routes to and from Alicante with a 30% increase in capacity compared to 2022 and a total of 712,000 seats.
