LATAM Airlines announced on Wednesday that it will resume the direct route between Santiago (Chile) and Florianópolis (Brazil) on a permanent basis as of November 1st. Thus, passengers will be able to reach their destination in just over 3.5 hours, on average, saving up to 50% in travel time compared to existing flights that have a connection in Sao Paulo.
In addition, and to meet the high demand expected for the summer, the route will have a daily flight between November and March 2024. And from April, it will continue to operate with four frequencies per week. In the first year of operation alone, LATAM expects to mobilize more than 77,500 passengers.
