Avelo Airlines announced Tuesday nonstop service between Tweed-New Haven Airport (Connecticut) and San Juan (Puerto Rico), the airline’s first destination in the Caribbean.
The new route will begin operating on November 15, 2023, offering twice-weekly service (Wednesdays and Saturdays) on Boeing 737 aircraft, with introductory fares starting at $99 one way.

“Many people have been anxiously awaiting this news. With a large and growing number of Puerto Ricans living in Connecticut, this service will make reconnecting with friends and family easier and more affordable than ever,” said Avelo Airlines President and CEO Andrew Levy.
In this way, Avelo expands its route map to 47 destinations covering 25 states and one U.S. territory.
