Ryanair recorded a record number of passengers in July for the third consecutive month, the low-cost airline reported Wednesday, carrying 18.7 million passengers in what is usually one of its most profitable months of the year.
This figure represents an 11% increase over the previous year, when the post-pandemic travel recovery was taking shape, and surpasses the previous monthly record of 17.4 million passengers reached in June. Average flight occupancy in the sixth month of the year was 96%.

The Irish airline, Europe’s largest by passengers carried, expects traffic in its fiscal year to March 2024 to grow by 9% to about 183.5 million passengers.
Last month, the company lowered that forecast due to delays in Boeing aircraft deliveries and air traffic control strikes that, according to Ryanair, forced it to cancel more than 800 flights last month.
