WestJet announced Tuesday the expansion of its winter flight schedule from Vancouver International Airport to some of Mexico’s most popular destinations. In addition, as part of its connectivity to the Aztec country, the airline has added weekly nonstop service between Vancouver and Ixtapa.
- Vancouver – Cancun: 9 weekly frequencies year-round
- Vancouver – Los Cabos: 11 weekly frequencies year-round
- Vancouver – Ixtapa: 1 weekly frequencies starting December 22nd
- Vancouver – Puerto Vallarta: 9 weekly frequencies all year long
- Vancouver – Mazatlan: 2 weekly frequencies as of November 3
- Vancouver – Huatulco: 4 weekly frequencies starting October 29th

“We are thrilled to offer more opportunities for our Lower Mainland customers in British Columbia to seamlessly connect to their favorite destinations throughout Mexico this winter,” said Chris Avery, WestJet’s Vice President of Network Planning, Alliances and Business Development.
With a 14% increase in capacity for flights to Mexico from Vancouver International Airport this winter, the airline will offer the most seats of any carrier.
