Emirates to introduce Premium Economy on São Paulo and Tokyo-Narita flights

Emirates announced Thursday that its Premium Economy cabin will be introduced at two more points on its network, São Paulo (Brazil) from November and Tokyo-Narita (Japan) from December.

As the airline’s modernization program accelerates and the product is rolled out to more routes across its network, São Paulo will become the 13th city where Emirates will operate its newly upgraded A380 flagship aircraft, while the number of points offering Premium Economy will increase to 14 with the addition of Tokyo-Narita.

Starting November 19, travelers flying between Dubai and São Paulo will be able to book Premium Economy seats on flights EK261/262, which will initially be available three times a week and will be expanded to daily flights in December.

Premium Economy on EK318/319 flights to and from Tokyo-Narita will be offered daily from December 20.

The aircraft to be deployed on the routes have a four-class configuration, 56 seats in Premium Economy, located at the front of the main deck and arranged in a 2-4-2 configuration, plus 338 seats in Economy Class, 76 in Business Class and 14 suites in First Class.

Emirates currently flies its Airbus A380s with Premium Economy seats to global destinations including London Heathrow, Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Christchurch, Singapore, Los Angeles, New York JFK, Houston and San Francisco, and from October 29 to Mumbai and Bengaluru.
