Russian Ural Airlines plane makes emergency landing in Siberia
An Airbus A320 aircraft of Russia’s Ural Airlines had to make an emergency landing in a field in Siberia due to a hydraulic problem, the country’s authorities said.
The plane, which was flying from Sochi on the Black Sea to the Siberian city of Omsk, made an emergency landing at about 02:44 GMT in a meadow near Kamenka in the Novosibirsk region, Russia’s air safety agency Rosaviatsia said.
Four people were slightly injured, according to the regional health ministry.

Russia’s Investigative Committee opened an investigation for “violation of air transport safety rules.”
Images released by the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry’s rescue services show the plane in the middle of a meadow with evacuation chutes deployed but no obvious damage.
According to the airline’s general director, Sergey Skuratov, “the green hydraulic system” of the plane had stopped working, AFP reported.
Russian airlines are facing a maintenance problem for their Airbus and Boeing aircraft due to a lack of spare parts caused by Western sanctions following the offensive in Ukraine.
