LATAM Airlines inaugurated a new non-stop route between Belo Horizonte (Brazil) and Santiago (Chile), becoming the first airline to operate the route on a regular basis, reducing the average travel time between these cities from 8 to 5 hours compared to a connecting flight.
The route will operate three weekly flights (Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays), on Airbus A320 aircraft, with capacity for 12 passengers in Premium Economy cabin and 162 in Economy.

“When we expand Belo Horizonte’s international connectivity with Chile, we are also expanding access to unique international destinations and opening more doors for Brazil. This is because from Santiago we can quickly connect with LATAM to the entire Andean country and also to places highly sought after by tourists, such as Sydney, Auckland, Melbourne and Easter Island. On the other hand, in all these destinations we can also board more foreigners who can now discover Minas Gerais much more easily,” commented Aline Mafra, LATAM Brazil Sales and Marketing Director.
LATAM currently operates domestic flights from Belo Horizonte to São Paulo/Guarulhos (34 weekly flights), São Paulo/Congonhas (60 weekly flights), Rio de Janeiro/Santos Dumont (24 weekly flights) and Brasilia (18 weekly flights).
