Air Canada to expand its presence in Scandinavia with new flights to Stockholm

Air Canada announced Thursday the strategic expansion of its presence in Scandinavia with new seasonal summer flights to Stockholm, with three flights per week from Montreal and two frequencies per week from Toronto beginning June 12, 2024.

The airline will also increase capacity on its annual flights to Copenhagen from Toronto with daily flights from May 1, 2024 to October 31, and will resume seasonal service from Montreal on May 2, 2024, increasing to five weekly flights in June.

Air Canada orders 18 Boeing 787-10 jets

The flights will be operated on Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft offering three cabins: Signature Class, Premium Economy and Economy Class.

“We are continuing our strategy of increasing international flights at our global hubs in Toronto and Montreal, and we are very pleased to strengthen Air Canada’s presence in Northern Europe with the addition of flights to Stockholm,” said Mark Galardo, Air Canada’s Executive Vice President, Revenue and Network Planning.

Air Canada plans to operate 100% of its peak summer 2019 transatlantic capacity next year, taking full advantage of the strong recovery in its largest international market.
