American Airlines announced Friday that it will fly to Tulum (Mexico) from Charlotte, Dallas and Miami beginning March 28, 2024.
The airline will offer four daily nonstop flights to Tulum year-round: One to Charlotte and Miami; Two to Dallas. Tickets will be available for purchase beginning November 13, 2023.
The new flights to Tulum are in addition to American’s record winter service to Cancun, where the airline operates up to 40 departures on peak days to 18 U.S. destinations.

“We continue to enhance our extensive global network with more nonstop flights to destinations our customers want to visit. With more flights to Tulum from the U.S. than any other airline, American will offer convenient domestic connectivity to this popular vacation gem in the Riviera Maya,” said Brian Znotins, American’s Senior Vice President of Network and Scheduling.
Direct flights between New Yokr-JFK and Tokyo-Haneda
The airline also announced that it has filed an application with the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) to become the only U.S. airline to fly nonstop between New York’s JFK and Tokyo’s Haneda Airport.
The new flight will complement existing frequencies operated by American’s partner Japan Airlines, providing more convenient arrival and departure times in New York City and optimal connections throughout Japan and Asia with a stopover in Tokyo.
