JetSMART announced on Tuesday two new international routes connecting Lima with Quito and Guayaquil, becoming the first low-cost airline to operate between Peru and Ecuador.
The airline plans to begin operations to Quito on March 6, 2024 with a frequency of three weekly flights. In the case of Guayaquil it will start on April 2, 2024 and will also have three weekly flights. JetSMART plans to transport more than 4,100 passengers per month on each of the routes.

“It is really gratifying to meet the growth objectives set by the company, making more and more Peruvians and Ecuadorians have the opportunity to travel paying less. With the addition of these two new routes to our portfolio, in such a short time of operation, we now have eight international routes from Peru,” said Francesca Luna, General Manager of JetSMART in Peru, who also added “We are doubly satisfied because we remain committed to contributing to the connectivity of the region with very affordable fares.
The new flights between Peru and Ecuador will be operated in a modern fleet of Airbus A320neo aircraft with capacity for 186 passengers.
The low cost airline starts selling tickets with introductory prices ranging from US$ 66 or S/. 253 soles per leg and including taxes for both routes. The promotion will be available from November 21 to 28 of this year and will apply for travel in the case of Quito from March 6 to August 31, 2024, while for Guayaquil from April 2 to August 31, 2024.
