During the year-end season, Avianca will offer more than 6.6 million seats, representing a 39% increase over the same period last year. This increase is a record number and demonstrates the airline’s clear commitment to connect Colombia with the world.

Since the beginning of the 2023 winter season, Avianca has even increased its frequencies to and from regions such as Ipiales (82%), San Andrés (80%), Leticia (78%), Santa Marta (73%), Montería (70%), Cúcuta (70%) and Pasto (66%) to connect them more and better.

Avianca to fly between San Jose, Costa Rica and Caracas starting in December

In the last six months, the airline has been preparing to serve this year-end season and its travelers. With an investment of close to USD$500 million, 16 aircraft have been added; 1,200 additional employees have been hired and, so far this year, more than 25 routes have been inaugurated. Avianca expects to close 2023 with 32.5 million passengers across its network.

To serve and protect users during this high season, the airline designed a comprehensive plan to protect against the risk of possible disruptions, which includes voluntary flight changes without penalty, flexibility at the airport and reinforcement of communication channels with customers.

Avianca recommends that customers update their reservation contact information to ensure timely delivery of information in the event of any new developments; check in as far in advance as possible and check the status of their flight through avianca.com and the airline’s app.
