Delta and LATAM expand network with flights to Atlanta and New York from Rio de Janeiro
Delta Air Lines began direct flights from Rio de Janeiro to Atlanta and New York on December 17. Both routes are associated with the Joint Venture Agreement with LATAM Airlines.
The Rio de Janeiro-Atlanta flight will operate year-round, while the Rio de Janeiro-New York-JFK route will be seasonal and will be offered through February 21, 2024.

Both routes are operated by Boeing 767-300ER aircraft, which have four cabins: Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin.
These flights are in addition to the daily direct services Delta already offers from São Paulo (two frequencies to Atlanta and one to New York-JFK), bringing the total to five daily flights between Brazil and the United States.
“We are very pleased with the return of Delta’s direct service between Rio de Janeiro and the United States, a further demonstration of the recovery of the travel industry in both countries and demonstrating the importance of Rio as a gateway for international tourists, as well as Delta’s focus on taking its customers to the places they want to go most,” said Danillo Barbizan, Delta’s Sales Manager – Brazil.
