Delta increases number of seats from Miami in winter

This winter season, Delta Air Lines is increasing the number of seats from Miami by 27% compared to last year as the airline pushes to become the carrier of choice in South Florida.

Delta is adding more flights to Atlanta, Detroit, Minneapolis-St. Paul, New York-JFK, New York-LGA and Orlando as it increases peak-day departures from Miami to 12 destinations to 37. In total, the airline is offering about 1,300 additional seats per day from the Sun City.

Thirteen other cities around the world are served from Miami through Delta’s alliances with Aeromexico, Air France/KLM, LATAM Airlines and Virgin Atlantic.

“Delta is serious about its presence in Miami and throughout South Florida, and we are demonstrating that through new partnerships and network enhancements, a world-class customer experience at the airport, and sincere community involvement and investment,” said Luciano Macagno, Delta’s General Manager for Latin America, the Caribbean and South Florida.

At Miami Airport, Delta has installed state-of-the-art check-in kiosks, implemented a quick connect process and launched a more seamless check-in experience through its app. More new developments will follow in 2024, including the expansion and renovation of the airfield’s Delta Sky Club.
