Japan Airlines (JAL) has taken delivery of its first A350-1000 at the Airbus delivery center in Toulouse, France.
This aircraft, which will initially fly on the Tokyo-Haneda-New York-JFK route, is configured in four classes. First Class has six Suites, each with a choice of three modes: sofa, single seat and bed or double bed. Business Class also offers Suites, with 54 seats and privacy doors. Premium Economy (24 seats) and Economy (155 seats) offer more personal space and comfort in their respective categories.

JAL has ordered 31 A350 aircraft: 18 A350-900s and 13 A350-1000s. The airline operates the A350-900 on high-density domestic routes from 2019.
