British Airways to launch new routes in 2024

British Airways announced Monday the launch of several long-haul and short-haul routes from London-Heathrow, London-Gatwick and Edinburgh by 2024. In addition, the airline is returning to London-Stansted for the first time since the pandemic, as it continues to increase the choice available to its customers globally.

From London-Heathrow:

Abu Dhabi – United Arab Emirates

British Airways will launch daily flights to Abu Dhabi this year, after a four-year hiatus. The route will begin operating on April 20, 2024, with flights to the UAE capital year-round from London Heathrow.

Izmir – Turkey

The route will start on May 18, 2024, and will operate one flight per week from Heathrow Terminal 5 on Saturdays.

From London-Gatwick:

Agadir – Morocco

Agadir joins Marrakech to become the second Moroccan destination on the British Airways route map.

The route will start from March 31, 2024 with four times a week and will be operated by BA Euroflyer, British Airways’ short-haul subsidiary at Gatwick.

From London-Stansted

Florence – Italy

British Airways will fly to Florence from May 18 on Sundays, in addition to the regular flights it offers from Heathrow and London City.

Ibiza – Spain

The airline will fly to Ibiza from May 18 on weekends, departing on Sundays, in addition to scheduled flights from Heathrow, Gatwick, London City.

Nice – France

Flights to Nice from London-Stansted will also start on May 18 and will operate on Sundays.

From Edinburgh

British Airways has just announced two new routes from Edinburgh Airport, which will operate in the summer of 2024.

For the first time, the airline will offer twice-weekly flights from Edinburgh to San Sebastian in the Spanish Basque Country and a weekly flight to Olbia in northeast Sardinia, Italy. Both routes will start on May 25 and will be operated by BA Cityflyer on Embraer 190 aircraft for the summer season.
