The fourth COMAC C919, the Chinese-developed narrow-body aircraft, was delivered to launch customer China Eastern Airlines on Tuesday in Shanghai, China Daily reported.
The airline did not announce when it will begin operations with the aircraft, but it is expected to be soon.

As of December 31, 2023, China Eastern Airlines’ fleet of three C919s had operated a total of 655 commercial flights and carried nearly 82,000 passengers, the airline reported.
In addition to the first five C919 aircraft purchased in 2021, China Eastern signed an agreement with COMAC on September 28, 2023 to purchase another 100 aircraft, marking the largest single order in the history of the domestically manufactured jet.
