The prestigious global intelligence company specialized in the airline industry, ch aviation, recognized JetSMART as the airline with the youngest fleet of aircraft in South America and the fifth youngest in the world, with an average age of 3.05 years, at the “ch-aviation World’s Youngest Aircraft Fleet Award” in 2024.
This ranking, which determines which airlines currently operate the youngest aircraft fleets, maintains an aircraft database of more than 4,800 active operators, more than 77,000 aircraft and 2,900 aircraft owners worldwide.
As for the world ranking, “Starlux Airlines” (Asia) was the youngest with 2.04 years, followed by “Lynx Air” (North America) with 2.81 years, “Arajet” in third place (Caribbean) with 2.93 years and in fourth place “Vistara” (Asia) with 2.94 years.

With this recognition JetSMART consolidates and continues its expansion in the region as the largest and newest Ultra Low Cost airline in South America with 33 aircraft, 25 A320 and 8 Airbus A321, serving already with domestic flights to Chile, Argentina, Peru and recently Colombia, as well as flying more than 70 routes throughout the region with services to Brazil, Ecuador, Paraguay and Uruguay.
