Icelandair announced Thursday the expansion of its flight operations for the 2024 summer season, offering unprecedented connectivity between Spain, Iceland and North America.
To celebrate, the airline has launched a special promotion that will be available until February 11, to travel between Madrid and Reykjavik with fares from only 199 € i / v and taxes included. This initiative aims to give travelers a unique opportunity to explore Iceland and enjoy a unique experience in their transatlantic travels. This exclusive fare will be available for flights between June 6, 2024 and July 3, 2024.
The Icelandic flag carrier will link Madrid with Reykjavik twice a week (Wednesdays and Saturdays) between June 8 and October 9, 2024.

This route joins the 3 weekly frequencies that the airline offers between Barcelona and Reykjavik (every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday) throughout the year. This route already allows travelers from Barcelona to connect conveniently and quickly to the airline’s destinations in the United States and Canada, including Boston, New York, Washington D.C., Chicago, Halifax, Toronto, Seattle, Denver, Minneapolis, Portland and Vancouver.
In addition, Icelandair has also strengthened its presence in Spain by consolidating its operations from other cities such as Alicante, with 2 weekly flights throughout the year; Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, with 2 weekly frequencies between October and April and Tenerife South, with up to 5 weekly connections throughout the year.
