SWISS announced Friday that it will connect Zurich with Seoul (South Korea) from May 7, 2024. The route returns after having last been operated 26 years ago by Swissair.
The airline will offer three weekly flights that will be operated in Airbus A340-300 aircraft, with capacity for 215 passengers distributed in 4 classes.

As SWISS Airbus A340s are due to be retired next year, they will be replaced on this route by the A350-900 or the 777-300ER.
“We are delighted to further expand our network,” said Heike Birlenbach, Chief Commercial Officer of SWISS. “In addition to the already announced long-haul destinations to Washington DC and Toronto by summer 2024, we will add the attractive destination of Seoul to our Asian network.”
