Avianca announces that, as of May 12, 2024, it will operate an additional daily frequency on the Bogotá-Ipiales-Bogotá route.
With this increase, the airline will have two daily flights connecting the two cities with a total offer of more than 5,000 seats per week. The flights will be operated with Airbus A320 aircraft with capacity for 180 passengers.

“A year ago at Avianca we bet on reconnecting with Ipiales after more than 50 years. Today we are doubling that bet with an incremental daily frequency that undoubtedly reflects that there is a positive demand for travelers connecting the two cities. Ipiales is a key destination for Avianca’s operations and for tourism and development in Colombia. We will continue to work together with authorities and stakeholders in Nariño to ensure that this route is a success,” said David Alemán, Avianca’s Director of Sales for Colombia and South America.
The robust connectivity between the center of the country and Ipiales adds to the offer that Avianca also offers to connect Pasto with Bogota and Cali.
Currently, Avianca customers have more than 35 weekly frequencies between Bogotá and Pasto, and more than 150 weekly frequencies between Bogotá and Cali.
