TAP to strengthen operations in Brazil and North America this summer

TAP Air Portugal announced Friday that it will strengthen its offerings in Brazil and North America this summer.

In Brazil, six weekly flights will be added to Recife, for a total of 13 weekly frequencies. For Fortaleza and Rio de Janeiro, there will be two more weekly flights, for a total of 9 and 12 flights per week, respectively.

The airline will also increase by one weekly flight its operations between Lisbon and Belém, Brasilia, Natal/Maceió, Porto Alegre, Salvador and São Paulo.

At the peak of summer 2024, the airline will offer 96 weekly flights between Portugal and Brazil, 16 more than operated last season.

In Canada, four weekly flights to Toronto will be added for the summer of 2023, bringing the total to 14 flights per week. The offer also increases between Lisbon and Montreal, from five to six weekly flights.

In the United States, there are now two daily flights to Washington, four more a week than in the summer of 2023. The offer also increases from five to six weekly flights between Lisbon and San Francisco.

In total, this summer TAP will offer 77 weekly flights between Portugal and the United States, five more than in the same period last year, and 20 weekly flights to Canada, five more than last season.

TAP will also fly three times a week between Lisbon and Caracas this summer, with the novelty that one of these weekly flights will make a stopover in Funchal on the outward or return leg, for the convenience of all passengers on this route with origin or destination in Madeira.

The airline also resumes seasonal operations to destinations such as Porto Santo, Alicante, Ibiza, Menorca, Palma de Mallorca and Naples.
