El Dorado has been chosen, for the sixth time and third consecutive year, as the “Best Airport in South America” by Skytrax, an audit dedicated to the analysis and comparison of airport and airline quality. It has also been recognized, for the fourth time, as the airport with the Best Staff in South America. This achievement highlights its commitment to offering the best experience to its travelers.
These awards were presented at a ceremony held recently during the Passenger Terminal Expo in Frankfurt, Germany.

“This recognition encourages us to continue working to improve the travel experience of the more than 40 million passengers who travel through El Dorado every year. Being the best in South America reflects our commitment and that of the entire airport community to the airport of all Colombians and is the result of a joint effort to provide a memorable experience,” said Natalí Leal, General Manager of Opain, the concessionaire of the Bogota airport.
Skytrax evaluates more than 550 airports worldwide by surveying travelers over a 7-month period. The survey evaluates the passenger experience in all areas of airport service and facilities, from check-in, arrivals, transfers, shopping, security, immigration to departure at the gate.
