Aeropuertos Dominicanos Siglo XXI (Aerodom) said Monday that as of 12:35am the Las Americas International Airport in Santo Domingo is operating normally after repairs were made to the asphalt slippage on runway 17-35 that caused its provisional closure.
The incident caused delays in the arrival and departure of flights, and several had to be diverted to alternate airports.
