Icelandair inaugurates flights to Pittsburgh, US

Icelandair has launched a seasonal non-stop service between Reykjavik, Iceland, and Pittsburgh, US, making it the airline’s 16th destination in North America.

The route, which will be available through October, will operate four weekly flights on Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.

“Pittsburgh is the latest addition to our extensive route network and our sixteenth destination in North America. The North American market has been very strong and in recent years, US citizens have been the largest group of tourists visiting Iceland. The Pittsburgh route is off to a good start, with passengers from 25 European destinations booked to Pittsburgh and travelers from Pittsburgh have booked flights to 30 destinations in Europe”, Bogi Nils Bogason, President and CEO of Icelandair said.
