JetBlue launches six new routes from Puerto Rico

As part of a plan to improve its route network, JetBlue announced Wednesday that it will add six new destinations from its base at Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The new destinations from Puerto Rico, which will begin in October, are Providence, Westchester County, Santiago (Dominican Republic), Medellin (Colombia), Cancun (Mexico) and St. Croix (U.S. Virgin Islands).

With these new routes, JetBlue will operate a total of 18 destinations from Puerto Rico, including an average of 40 daily departures from San Juan Airport.

“JetBlue has been a part of the Puerto Rican community for more than twenty years, and we are excited to deepen our roots with this expansion,” said Marty St. George, president of JetBlue.

Mint experience to more destinations

The airline announced the expansion of its premium travel experience to additional destinations, including Phoenix and Vancouver.

JetBlue inaugurates flights between Boston and Paris

This winter, every flight heading to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport will feature Mint, offering nonstop comfort and excellent cuisine from JetBlue’s East Coast focus cities – New York, Boston, and Fort Lauderdale.

JetBlue will also introduce the Mint experience on the Fort Lauderdale-Las Vegas route, and in the Canadian market on the daily flight between New York and Vancouver.

Adding two Caribbean destinations

This fall, JetBlue will launch flights from New York’s JFK to the pristine beauty of St. Vincent and the Grenadines with service to Argyle International Airport, and the tranquil shores in Bonaire with flights to Flamingo International Airport. These additions are part of JetBlue’s strategy to expand its reach by adding markets with limited competition but high demand.

These routes, which will go on sale later this month, establish JetBlue as the only U.S. airline offering direct connections from New York’s JFK to these captivating destinations.
