In order to offer more and more operations in the region, avianca has requested authorization from the Colombian Civil Aeronautics Authority to operate non-stop flights between Bogota (Colombia) and Georgetown, Guyana.

The application indicates that the airline plans to operate 7 weekly frequencies on Airbus A319, A320 or A320neo aircraft.
The airline currently operates 140 routes, with more than 75 destinations in 25 countries in the Americas and Europe.
