JetAir Caribbean and United Caribbean Airlines B.V., which jointly operate under the brand name “JetAir, filed for bankruptcy on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, before the Court of First Instance of the island of Curaçao, according to the company’s website.
“In consultation with the board of directors, the administrators have decided to terminate all operations. This means that all flights are cancelled and JetAir’s aircraft (Fokker 70) will remain grounded as of June 18.”
JetAir stated that “As a result of the bankruptcy, all debts are “frozen” and no refunds can be made at this time.”

“In this initial phase of the bankruptcy, the trustees will conduct an investigation of the company’s assets and explore the possibilities for a restart of Jetair’s operations and focus on informing employees, passengers and other creditors and stakeholders.”
“There is no time limit for the duration of a bankruptcy. It depends in part on the results of investigations into the causes and legality,” the airline said.
Interested parties can submit their claim to the administrators by sending an e-mail to creditors.jetair@hbnlawtax.com, including their ticket number, the date of payment and the amount paid.
