Responding to strong demand, Porter Airlines announced Wednesday that it will more than double its capacity to Florida this winter. The new schedule includes up to 126 weekly on 14 routes from four eastern Canadian airports – Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Halifax.
The list of destinations includes Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Miami, Orlando, Tampa and the new addition of West Palm Beach.
Seasonal service between Toronto Pearson International Airport and Palm Beach will begin on November 14, with one flight daily.
New service to Fort Lauderdale and Fort Myers from Montreal-Trudeau begins this winter. Porter is the only airline offering flights on the Montreal-Fort Myers route.

This winter also sees the start of new service from Halifax Stanfield International Airport to Orlando and Tampa.
Service from Toronto-Pearson includes up to 14 weekly flights to Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Orlando and Tampa, and seven weekly flights to Miami.
Flights from Ottawa include up to 14 weekly flights to Fort Lauderdale and Orlando. New seasonal service from Ottawa to Fort Myers and Tampa begins in November, each with up to four weekly frequencies.

All these flights will be operated in Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, which have a capacity for 132 passengers in a single class and a 2-2 configuration, with no intermediate seats.
“We experienced a strong response to our Florida service last winter. Now, we’re providing our passengers with substantially more flight options to meet their Florida travel plans this winter, including departures from four major Canadian airports”, Kevin Jackson, president, Porter Airlines said.
