Aena, the company that manages airports in Spain and other countries, recorded a net profit in the first half of 2024 of €808.6 million, compared to €607.7 million in the same period last year.
Between January and June 2024, Aena obtained a gross operating profit (EBITDA(1)) of €1,555.3 million, with a margin of 56.6%. This figure represents an increase of 32.9% compared to 2023 (1,170.3 million). The consolidation of the 11 airports of the Eleven Brazilian Airports Block (BOAB), managed by Aena Brasil, contributes €91.1 million to revenues and €50.4 million to EBITDA.
The investment paid between January and June 2024 amounted to EUR 462 million and focused mainly on improving airport facilities and operational safety.

Passenger traffic of the Aena Group (Spain, London-Luton and Aena Brazil airports) grew to 172.7 million (10.5% more than in the first half of 2023). At the airports in Spain, the increase was 11.4% (to 144.2 million passengers).
Total consolidated revenues for the first half of 2024 increased to EUR 2,746.4 million, an increase of 17.7% compared with the first six months of the previous year.
Aeronautical revenues were €1,483.5 million, up 16.2% on 2023. Commercial revenues, supported by a growth in sales from commercial activities, amounted to €841.4 million, up 17.6% compared to the first half of 2023.
The Aena Group’s consolidated accounting net financial debt(2) stood at €6,453 million, compared to €6,222 million in 2023, with the consolidated group’s net financial debt to EBITDA ratio being 1.89 times.
Net cash generated by operating activities amounted to €1,401.4 million compared to €1,048.5 million in the first half of 2023.
