Aeromexico to fly to Newark, New Jersey

Aeromexico announced Monday that it will begin operations between Mexico City Airport (AICM) and Newark Airport, New Jersey, on October 27, becoming the airline’s 24th destination in the United States.

The route will operate one daily flight in Boeing 737 MAX-8 aircraft with capacity for 166 passengers: 16 in Premier Cabin, 18 in AM Plus and 132 in Economy Cabin.

Flights will depart Mexico City at 15:45, landing in Newark at 21:30 (local time). From New Jersey they will take off at 07:05, arriving at Benito Juarez Airport at 11:55 (local time).

This new service is part of Aeromexico’s Joint Collaboration Agreement with Delta Air Lines, and will complement the alliance’s existing four daily flights to New York-JFK, increasing its presence by more than 20%, while providing another gateway to New York and new access to the northern New Jersey market.

Thanks in large part to its agreement with Delta, Aeromexico has inaugurated more than ten routes between Mexico and the U.S. this year. The most recent were from Mexico City to Raleigh-Durham, Washington Dulles, and Tampa Bay, and will soon begin service connecting Queretaro with Atlanta.

Throughout the Aeromexico-Delta alliance, the two airlines jointly serve 60 routes between the two countries, exceeding 1,200 operations, and more than 200,000 seats per week.
