Ryanair officially inaugurated its new base in Tangier, the airline’s fourth in Morocco.
The new base will have two aircraft and 25 routes, including 8 new international routes (Baden Baden, Barcelona, Carcassonne, Eindhoven, Lisbon, Manchester, Memmingen and Porto) and 5 domestic routes (Agadir, Essaouira, Marrakech, Ouarzazate and Ouja) by this summer 2024.
The opening of this base will increase Tangier’s capacity by 70% and is an important part of the airline’s record summer 2024 schedule at 12 Moroccan airports.

Ryanair’s investment in Morocco now exceeds $1.4 billion in aircraft, providing more than 5,000 direct and indirect jobs and economic growth in 12 cities such as Rabat, Marrakech, Fez, Agadir, Tetouan, Essaouira and Nador.
“We are delighted to officially open our new base in Tangier, representing a $200 million investment and our fourth Moroccan base. This latest opening is part of our record summer program, which will enable Ryanair to operate more than 170 routes across Morocco, boosting tourism and connectivity,” commented Ryanair CEO Eddie Wilson.
