Airbus delivered 47 aircraft in August, 30 fewer than in July
Airbus said Friday that it delivered 47 commercial aircraft in August, 30 fewer than in July, for a total of 447 aircraft in the first eight months of the year.
The European manufacturer’s target is to deliver 770 aircraft by 2024, after revising its forecasts downward on June 25, taking into account the problems of some of its suppliers in guaranteeing cadence and its own production plans.

Airbus booked 46 new orders including 30 previously announced A330neos for Cathay Pacific and a rare order from a single “private customer” for three A350-900s and three A320neos worth well over $1 billion at catalogue prices.
Airbus typically uses the “private customer” designation to describe jets bought to be used by VIPs in luxury configurations or by governments. Demand for such aircraft remains strong in the Middle East, analysts say.
Airbus has received a total of 413 aircraft orders so far this year.
