“These results for the second quarter and the first eight months of 2024 reflect the airline’s sustained and constant growth in the market. Travelers’ favorite destinations:

Wingo recorded growth in passengers on both domestic and international routes. From the domestic perspective, the destinations that continue to drive demand are those that represent beach options, such as Cartagena, Santa Marta and San Andres. As for international destinations, the Caribbean – Punta Cana, Cancun, Aruba and Havana, destinations where tactical capacity additions have been made, performed well.

It is also worth noting the good performance of the Lima destination, which will have a 33% increase in capacity as of October of this year, as well as the Colombia – Venezuela market, which has been especially mobilized due to the increase in demand recorded in the last two months. It is important to remember that, in this market, Wingo is the leader in seats offered with seven weekly frequencies on its Bogota – Caracas and Medellin – Caracas routes.

Following the operational data published, Wingo, Copa Holdings’ low-cost airline, reaffirmed its position as the third airline with the most relevant operation in the country and defends its position as the low-cost airline with the most robust presence in the Colombian market with 35 operational routes.
