Brazil’s GOL Linhas Aéreas requested authorization from Colombia’s Civil Aeronautics to operate the Brasilia-Bogotá-Caracas route and vice versa.
According to the application, the airline plans to offer two weekly frequencies on the route, which will be operated on Boeing 737-800 and 737 MAX 8 aircraft.

The airline suspended its flights to Venezuela in 2016 because it was unable to repatriate funds due to the government’s strict foreign exchange controls.
In the same request, GOL also asked to operate the Brasilia-Bogotá-Manaos route twice a week and vice versa.
