ITA Airways and Icelandair signed a codeshare agreement on Wednesday that will allow their customers to travel seamlessly across both airlines’ networks.
Flights are now on sale, for travel beginning January 20, 2025.

This agreement further enhances ITA Airways’ commercial strategy of growth and opens a privileged access route to all passengers who will benefit from the connectivity via Rome Fiumicino and Reykjavik”, Andrea Benassi, General Manager ITA Airways, said.

“We are very pleased to welcome ITA Airways into our esteemed group of airline partners. The codeshare agreement with ITA Airways will offer our customers very convenient connections between the two airlines’ networks”, Bogi Nils Bogason, CEO Icelandair, said.
The agreement will enhance connectivity between Rome and Reykjavík, by opening connections to ITA Airways’ extensive domestic network, including Catania, Palermo, Naples, Bologna, Florence, Bari, Genoa, Trieste, Lamezia Terme, Venice, and Turin.
Thanks to the codeshare agreement ITA Airways and Icelandair customers can travel on a single ticket and have their luggage checked through all the way to the final destination.
Icelandair has daily flights to Milan and Rome in the summer season and, to further complement the new partnership, the Company has announced increased wintertime frequency to Rome, flying four times weekly.
